About the forcast pressure map : The white lines on the chart show areas of equal air pressure and are known as Isobars. Weather fronts have been added to the chart to illustrate the movement of the weather. Precipitation (which means anything that falls from the sky) is represented by the dark areas showing rainfall, while the white areas showing snowfall. |
