NIT is the Network Identification Table and is sent from the Satellite in the datastream! To boot up and read the NIT, no smartcard has to be inserted in the smartcard slot of the IRD;otherwise FTA receivers would not be working at all
NIT is transmitted on the first transponder of the network and if NOT configured propperly you will get the "No NIT" msg from your IRD.
Solution:Go to the first entry (should be the first transponder of the service required) and reload / rescan the satellite network; this should help! You may take the smartcard out of the IRD to get the same results!
